stereo bounce to quicktime movie ends up in mono

Hi,

I have some trouble with my bounces to quicktime movie. They all end up being mono, and the sound is louder and clipping, like l&r add up on each channel. I reimported the audio into a new PT session to check and end up having 2 mono tracks.

When searching digidesign.com about this problem I found an identical problem and solution:

The odd thing is, I'm not running os 10.3.9 but 10.4.8 and reinstalling an older quicktime version is not an option, as it doesn't want to reinstall on os 10.4. I trashed the QT preferences, but it didn't make any difference.

Also, when I check older bounces everything seems ok, nice stereo image. I did not change my system except for a file cleanup and disk defragmentation.

Can anyone help?

I just updated to 7.1 but it did not help..

Do you have 7.1cs10, i'm sure i remember one of the early 7.1 cs updates addressing an issue with bouncing to quicktime. I'm fairly sure it was a synching problem but it's go to be worth a try.
