Re: Dual monitor problem with Pro Tools 11.2.2
Quote:
That, my friend, is an understatement! I did not know that setting even existed! While I'm sure the "Ease of Access" features are quite useful for visually challenged folks, for me, they've never been anything but a pain in the patootie! I knew that all of my Win 7 computers would "snap"...when I bought my Win 8.1 machine last spring it didn't "snap", but that was way down on my list of things to worry about. I "unchecked" the box and I now have "snap" on my 8.1 machine! Why on earth Microsoft put that setting under "Ease of Access" is beyond me, it really should have been placed on something like the "Personalization" settings, along with the other "graphics" settings. I don't know if you guys in Denmark have any holidays going on right now...if you do, have a great holiday...if you don't, come back and reread this when you do. Thank you so much!

Re: Dual monitor problem with Pro Tools 11.2.2
Now I definetely found out what to do in this case:
My nVidia card driver pack contains a software called nVidia Desktop Manager whitch is available via desktop context menue. This annoying little friend sleped the last years and woke up for some reason when I installed PT 11.2.2. The nVidia Desktop Manager has a function to swich on and off the 'snap' functionality and allows you to spread program windows over more than one monitor. |

Re: Dual monitor problem with Pro Tools 11.2.2
There is also a related tip with regards to managing most windows. You probably already know about it, but in case you don't:
1. Activate the window in question 2. Press ALT 3. Press SPACE 4. Press M (for Move) 5. Now move the window by using the arrow keys (Ctrl+arrows for fine adj.) 6. Hit ENTER/RETURN to confirm 4b. Press S (for Sizing the window) |
