"Error, missing PACE authorization for "Pro Tools"
Hi
Is there any way to fix this problem? I have upgraded to Pro Tools Ultimate perpetual. and when starting Pro Tools, "Error, missing PACE authorization for "Pro Tools". Please insert the necessary iLok or rejoin your cloud session and restart Pro Tools." message comes up. I have activated my Pro Tools Ultimate perpetual lincense on my ilok. ilok license manager is the latest one. I'm on M1 Mac Studio with OS 12.7.3 Pro Tools Ultimate 2023.12.1 I have read and followed avid document regarding this issue but couldn't solve the issue. I've just checked your license and it's still activated on your iLok 2 USB. Please try opening your iLok License Manager app then refresh subscriptions and relaunch Pro Tools.

what do you mean by refresh subscriptions? my license is perpetual. so do you mean by reactivating the license? I've also tried activating the license into my ilok cloud but I also got the same error message when opening Pro Tools. I have attatched the status of my Pro Tools license. Thanks I found the refresh thing you talked about but the refresh button is greyed out as shown in the attachment screenshot |

Look thru your iLok license(the ones actually on the iLok and make sure there aren't any expired Pro Tools licenses shown. If you find any, deactivate them. And make sure you don't have a cloud session running(especially if you use cloud licensing on more than 1 computer).

Adding to Dave’s top advice – please try this longer process: Left-click on your license. In the Licenses tab, top LH cnr in iLok License Manager, (hereafter ILM), select Deactivate. Wait for the process to complete Restart computer In the Available tab, top LH cnr in ILM, left-click on your license and select Activate. Wait for the process to complete In the left column of ILM, right-click on your iLok and select Synchronize. Wait for the process to complete – it takes a little while Restart computer With your iLok plugged in, launch Pro Tools
