PT10 will not recognize MBox Mini (G3) in place of internal mic! Please Help!

I just bought a Macbook and a new Mbox Mini bundle. I downloaded my free upgrade to 10, but Pro Tools will not recognize the Mbox for input and output. I have selected the MBox as my input ad output device in System Preferences and I can get sound to play back through the MBox in other applications but when I try in Pro Tools it only uses the Macbook internal speakers and microphone! I have even configured the I/O in Pro Tools and it says that the MBox is the selected I/O. However, anytime I try to record arm a track I just get a nasty feedback loop coming out the Macbook speakers. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a solution that someone has come up with that I can try? Any ideas?

This is happening to me with my Mbox. Ugh. Did you get this fixed?

Did you download and install the latest drivers when you upgraded? Download the correct drivers... reboot... When launching PT hold down N and when the playback engine window pops up select the MBox you want to use and click OK.

Then let us know if this solved your issue or if we need to find another solution to the problem...

I still only see ASIO related items: Alpha ASIO Driver, ASIO Direct X Full Duplex, ASIO Multimedia, ASIO Multimedia Preferences, and the one that is actually selected, ASIO4ALL v2.

This driver is having massive problems installing on my laptop.

I am now able to record with the Mbox as an input, but I can no longer hear anything coming out of my speakers. I used to be able to hear audio out from any session. Hmmmmmm.....Now onto how to change settings to route audio out correctly.

You have to plug your speakers into the Main outputs of the MBox (unless you are talking about your built in speakers of a laptop). Since I have no system specs provided by you I dont know how you have things setup... That information would help.

DirtyDan, any progress with this? I am now able to record, but I cannot hear anything when I press play and try and playback tracks, audio through my monitors. I press play and it goes dead silent. I am having a very similar problem, just bought a new macbook pro and mbox mini, already had protools 10. Everything is installed correctly and drivers are up to date. My mbox will show in my sound prefs and will work lets say if i'm playing a song in iTunes, but once i go to play audio from another source like the internet or quicktime, the audio completely stops, no playback what so ever. Any ideas?
