Default Plugin That Detects Tempo?

Hi,

I've been out of the PT loop for a while, so maybe someone here can help me. Does anyone know of a plugin that can accurately detect tempo?

Thanks.

Don't need one, the PT Beat Detective is for just that. The version that ships with PT does only one track at a time.

Thanks for the info. I can't figure this out for the life of me though. I understand how to select the bars and analyze the track, but where does PT list the tempo of the track?

Thanks.

I like using Line6 Amp Farm or Gearbox on a delay setting and just tap it out. It's pretty quick.

And probably not the most accurate method, but you can tap out within Protools using the "T" key after the tempo has been highlited. Beat Detective is probably the best bet though.

It' tough to tighten up a whole track though, thats why they tell you to only do 8 bars at a time. (not like MIDI quantize)
