Default tdm logic plug in automation in logic 7?

help anyone. can't figure out how to automate my tdm plug-ins in logic 7/7.1
i'm not sure if this is a bug or if i am missing something.

i am hitting latch record, moving plug in and putting channel in read.
nothing records.

do i have to enable this option somewhere else?

Hello,

No need to place in rec mode, just select touch on the automation select and fiddle away, then place to read when finished!!

Regards

Chris

Do you have "Track Automation" engaged (View menu)?

if i enable view track automation it shows me that no automation is recording. i can draw in track automation on that channel, but not record it by moving the plugin controls. yes latch is enabled.

i have further isolated the problem. it seem to only occur on aux tracks and on dtdm track tracks. both of these types of tracks do not have a record button, which may just be a coincedence, but i think has something to do with it. can someone please let me know if they can automate a plug-in on an esb aux track? it is strange that no one else is aware of this problem.

thanks,
quincy

Which plug-in are you using?

It's working fine on my system with every plug-in I've tested. I use Logic as a front end for Digi hardware quite frequently and I've not come across any issues with plug-in automation.
