Help?
Pro Tools quits after Bounce to disk?
It bounces the files ok but sometimes gives them a weird code name. This has only started after I installed 5.1.1 upgrade. I don't like starting PT after every bounce. I've already threw the PT prefrences and restarted and all that. It says of an error Type 2 answer base doesn't have what I'm looking for unless I'm missing something. Re: Help?
OK.
It doesn't happen when bounce to disk at 16 bit. Pro Tools quits every time I bounce to disk 24 bit any mode! Today is the day that I had to bounce 9 songs to 24 duel mono for mastering and I had to restart Pro Tools every time! Luckily my clients weren't here to see the BS. |

Re: Help?
I found out one more thing.
Bouncing a few second file works ok, but 3 minute song is a no go. Am I the only one? |

Re: Help?
I did that and that didn't fix it.

Re: Help?
Error 2 is usually related to memory or preferences. Have you tried assigning more memory and doing the usual trash thing?

Re: Help?
Thank you for you input but I've tried all that.
Threw away the DAE and PT prefs before restarting and up the memory in DAE and PT. and increased buffer size even to "8". It doesn't make any sence. I think it is something in the system not Pro Tools itself. Error Type "2"? I have't the time to try all scenarios. |

Re: Help?
Possible extension conflict:
-Open the Extensions Manager Control Panel. From the selected set pop-up menu, select “OS 8.x base” click on “Duplicate Set" at the bottom of the window. Name the set whatever you like. Enable the following extensions and restart the computer: -Digidesign Control Panel -DigiSystem INIT -Digidesign Direct I/O -Digidesign DSP Manager -Digidesign Stream Manager -Open Music System -USB Floppy Enabler -In addition, rebuild the Desktop file. Hold down the Apple+Option keys while the extensions march across the bottom of the screen during boot-up. Hold the keys down until you get a window prompting you and then Click “OK”. Brent |
