Default Crackling in Left and Right on a SC48

Has anyone come across an intermittent crackling in the FOH mix on an SC48? I'm having this problem......

More details please..
Do you have any plugins on the master bus? Did you try rule out the rest of the signal chain?
Could be a number of issues.

So no plug ins on the master out. Have ruled out all busses and plug ins. Happens intermittently on the master output sending to the speakers. Not a processor or amp issue. Console is the only thing that is common to the left and right. (different processors and amps for each side). Almost like when you have a full drive and it is working hard and you hear crackling. However drive is not even close to being full. Console is less than a year old. We are going to wipe the software and reinstall and see if that works. Maybe a virus??? Console also did a wierd thing.... selected a channel and on the display all the channels started scrolling as if someone took their finger and swiped all the select buttons. It would then go to a blank channel and stop. Happened 3 times and then I restarted console and it seemed fine (except for the crackling)..... Not an electrical issue as the monitor desk is completely clean.....

I would suggest calling the venue support line, too many variables to diagnose it on here.

So redid the software but..... More importantly, opened the console (Remember brand new...) and found a ribbon cable pinched between the frame of the console and the top of the console. Power arcing from cable gives.....crackiling. Fixed cable and problem gone.

It actually didn't fix it. The crackling came back. Console went back to Avid under warranty and I got a different one at the club.
