Hey, yes both in stand alone and plug-in mode. No presets - all empty ?!

No idea I'm afraid, its all normal here. I installed from the Portal - perhaps worth a reinstall from there?

I installed from a download link (Post Production Suite 3). No problems with presets.

Since many of us got Insight for free along with our foray into RX Advanced I was a little disappointed to see that the Insight upgrade isn't included with the RX7 Advanced upgrade. Like many of you, I've skipped over some wimpy RX upgrades in the past, but 7 seems to have enough new features—even for post—to justify the expense. Good to see they've improved Dialogue Isolate, which I already find more useful than Spectral Noise Reduction in lots of situations, but I would love to have heard there had been substantial upgrades to the NR algorithms. Still looking for that more affordable Cedar-killer.

(FWIW - I've found RX much better than Cedar since RX4).

Really? Interesting! It seems that in all the discussion about broadband NR, consensus has been that it is one of RX's weakest areas and that Cedar blows it away. I'll likely never get to test them head-to-head because no way can I justify the cost of Cedar.

I believe they've got me with Repair Assist. I'm a gtr player, and I've found RX5 to be invaluable when I record acoustic instruments at home and then send the files to clients.

I don't have a perfectly soundproof room (to say the least), so I'm always de-noising with RX-5. I'm not a highly technical guy (although I'm not bad!), and this feature looks like it'll make things easier and save me some time, given what I usually have to accomplish. So, I'm in! I currently use "Learn" / Compare / Process / Render / Send Back. I think 7 will save me a few steps. Let 7 "suggest" possible fixes! If it "works", I'm into it!

That IS interesting. Do you mean that just in general - that RX provides more tools to actually correct noise issues? Or do you find it better in a general DX bus mix situation where a broadband noise reduction is just strapped over some busses or tracks?

Dialogue De Reverb is actually impressive. Much better than old De Reverb. Bummer that you still can only send 16 files at time via RX Connect (clip by clip). Repair Assistant .. it’s pretty stupid, but at the same time it’s 'dangerously' workable. I mean that it won’t take many years that it will be faster to fix bad audio with Repair Assistant than by using a real sound person (and I'm talking about tv work). PPS3 is a good upgrade, because you get Insight2 and the new RX(a) stuff.
