Playback engine doesn't support a sample rate of 48 kHz

I am new to Pro Tools 12. I am trying to connect Samson Studio GT interface/ monitors to my set up. Pro Tools 12 , OS X El Capitan. Tried pressing N set playback engine correctly, but save and close and back to square one.
