Pro tools 8 with Mbox pro 3
Hi im new in the forum and using pro tools, so i just install PT and the mbox 3, now my question is How i record on PT? i mean i activate the I/O with the mbox and it sound but when i insert a new track and use instrument when i pres rec and play the metronome just sound but the waveform doesn´t appears on the track and no recording but the guitar sounds... the options doesn´t show me waveform or something... can u help me
PD: sorry im from sudamerica and my english is no good. Thanks for the information!

Shot in the dark, but I bet you are trying to record to an INSTRUMENT track? Use an AUDIO track. Instrument tracks are for VI's(aka Virtual Instruments or plugin instruments). Common newbie mistake. Spend some free time on youtube watching tutorial videos for almost anything you can think to search for(just search for "pro tools, how do I______", but without eh quotes)

I will check!! what kind of track i have to use? to record voice and a electric guitar?

You use an *audio* track, not an *instrument* track.
