Default Time Slice / Time Stretch on ProTools LE?

I'm a new user to the ProTools system and would like to use loops on a lot of my projects. I understand that Beat Detective is only available on TDM systems but what's the closest thing for the LE users? I could do the slicing manually though but that would really be a pain. Any thoughts please?

There is the TCE - time compressin and expansion plug-in in the audiosuite menu. Native instruments makes Intakt which is good for slicing and dicing.

If your loops 'loop' perfectly, then manually can be quite fun.

Use Tab to Transients, then CTRL+E to slice. Follow that with your grid in Shuffle mode and move your slices around. It's a barrel o' monkeys I tell ya.

not to mention the trim function that allows you to compression / stretch your audio to the tempo of the grid
hold down the trimmer tool and you will see the option i'm talking about it has a clock icon

the trim function is the ticket! thanks a million. this forum is amazing, you guys rock. yeah, it's also fun to do the trimming manually but there's nothing like a quick fix when you've got people breathing down your neck. will try that every once in a while though just to be on the sharp.
