Default Acoustic Guitar Pad - MIDI controller

Has anyone heard of ACPAD...a battery operated wireless MIDI controller for acoustic guitars? There's a video on the webpage of the pad in action. Is this the next phase of MIDI controllers? What do you all think?

Interesting concept but it's one butt-ugly piece I'd not want to stick to my acoustic guitar. I wonder what the adhesive they use will do to a guitar's finish in time? And what's the latency like? Too many questions for me to even think about funding this.

Yeah, I think it looked pretty ugly too, and also wondered what made it stick to the body of the guitar. Its an interesting concept, though. Latency could be a huge issue, even if it is wireless. Still, worth keeping an eye on...I suspect the idea isn't going away.

It's definitely not something I would stick to a "nice" acoustic guitar, but it's kind of an interesting idea. I think they made a marketing mistake with the aesthetics, it would look cool on an electric guitar for any genre of music that would involve electric guitar and synth. I guess I'm not seeing the connection of the "TRON" look with any type of music that would typically be played on an acoustic though. But, it will definitely get attention on stage.
