7.3 Freeze/up when loading plug/ins

Alright so after a long time of having worked on 7.1 perfectly stable I finally got brave and jumped into 7.3.

Now, the odd thing here is, during the splash screen PT will freeze sometime between loading plugins and creating DAE objects. I tried temporarily removing all my plugins by placing them in the unused folder, and voila, Protools ran again. So I put the plugs back into their folder, and it froze again. Mind you I only have the digirack and bombfactory plugs installed.

I tried uninstalling, installed all critical windows updates, same thing happened.

Tried 7.4cs2, same thing happened

I really hope one of you guys can help me out.

Make sure all your plugs are updated: here's the chart. This is a pain, but necessary.

SInce the only plugins I have installed are the ones that come bundled with Protools they should be appropriate for the software they come with right? I checked through the list and the bundled plugs dont even appear. Thanks for the tip though.

It keeps getting stranger. I was out for a while, came back, tried again and on the splashscreen, almost at the end of the loading process I got the following error message

Could not create the TCE plugins factory default file because a DAE error was encountered error#0

I clicked OK and Protools did open, but its erratic behavious still makes me feel a bit uneasy. Im off to look something up regarding error#0.

Any tips are still welcome though!!!

Right, but now you've upgraded the LE software version, so you'll need to upgrade the plugs, too. Even for Digirack and Bombfactory. Don't shoot the messenger!!! Hope this helps.

Didnt mean to sound rude EG! I apologize if I did. What still baffles me is, how do I update the bombfactory and digirack bundled plugins, heck I dont even know if they need any updating because they dont appear on the list you posted. AHh this id driving me nuts, looks like Ill junt end up settling back into 7.1

And now, the plot thickens. So as I did a gazillion times before I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, this time Im trying 7.4cs2 again. Now plugins are loading on the splashscreen, but now PT hangs for about 5 minutes on initializing machine control and then actually manages to start running, well at least 3 out of the last 5 times.

Im out of ideas, anyone that can help Ill really appreciate it.
