Default CAS Avid/Digi post sound seminar

I thought this might be of interest (forwarded from the rec.arts.movies.production.sound)
It´s not ment as a Avid/Digi promo show but more a Q&A seminar. Hope some post-prople will show up to enforce the bin request and other long awaited post-features.

frank.

The previous C.A.S. Seminar "The Work Flow From Production Through
Post Production" held on June 18th, 2005 has led the way to the first

Audio Workflows with Avid and Pro Tools

Join representatives from Avid and Digidesign to discuss workflow

Internet connected editors together on projects.

** Wednesday, December 7 **
Seminar starts at 7:30 p.m. / Doors open at 6:45 p.m.

Hollywood Pacific Theater / ETC Digital Cinema Lab
6433 Hollywood Blvd (near Wilcox)

dr.sound replies;

Jim,
I'll see if we can have it taped. I'll be working and unable to be there. As for distribution, The Cinema Audio Society incurred high costs for the bandwidth on the last seminar. I will discuss it with the Board and we'll see what our options are.

The link to the registration does not have anything posted yet for this event. Is there another way to RSVP?

I changed the original posting too. So the link should work now.

It would be great if this got taped, so the possibility of it being distributed would not be lost.

I wasn't one of the lucky ones able to download The Work Flow From Production Through Post Production videos. If someone in Vancouver has these, or if someone wishes to FTP or mail me a DVD-R of them (I can PayPal you the shipping costs), could you please e-mail me at [email protected].

Thanks Frank!

Were the original video downloads from the CAS website bigger and better (I remember thinking they were 700MB a piece for some reason). I downloaded the ones from Coffey Sound, but the RealMedia compression is just fierce. At least I have them, but if I can get a better version, I would very much like that.
