Default do i have to buy "european" version of digi002, or use "american" with power adaptor?

do i have to buy "european" version of digi002, or use "american" with power adaptor?
I don't know if the different voltage and freq in Europe will somehow mutate the processed signal?

There is a label somewhere on the Digi 002, most probably next to the power cable, that will tell you if it will work.
It will say something like:
110V / 2.5A / 60Hz
If it says : 110-240V / ??A / 50-60Hz
You will not even need a voltage converter. The power supply switches the voltage by itself.
It might also have a manual switch on the back, or a second fuse socket inside, that will allow you to switch to 230V.
If it says: 110V / ??A / 50-60Hz
You can run it on a voltage converter with no problems.
If it says: 110V / ??A / 60Hz
Be careful. It might run, but most probably, you will have problems with it.

Also consider that, depending on the Digidesign distributor of the country you are importing it into, you might not get support from them, if you buy in the U.S.

I think it'll be stupid to get a "portable" product with no universal compatibility .
