Audio Recorded from MIDI track ahead of the beat/grid
I recorded myself playing keyboard and captured the MIDI data. I then quantized the performance and it was exactly on the beat (I can see it visually on the MIDI track) but when I send the MIDI back through my keyboard to record the audio (that's now quantized) it actually records it ahead of the beat. It seems like if there was a latency it would be behind the beat. It was far enough ahead of the beat to sound bad and I had to move it back but the keyboard sound isn't percussive enough to be exact so I would like to figure it out so that I'm not guessing on it.
I had the buffer setting at 128 and I have delay compensation on. MBP 2.6 Ghz i7 Quad (Non-retina) 003R - PT 10 - OS 10.8.1 |

Re: Audio Recorded from MIDI track ahead of the beat/grid
Have had this same problem for months too! Always mean to set aside time to sleuth out the cause but have been too lazy as yet I guess...
Sorry no info to offer, but will be eagerly watching this thread for any clues! |
