Default Trouble with 6.4LE upgrade

When installing the 6.4 upgrade the following error message comes up:
The following disk images failed to mount
PT LE 6.4.2
Reason
no mountable file systems

I've tried installing on the hard drive and in the Digi folder
Any ideas?

I'm running on an iMac G4 Panther 10.3.3, 1GB Ram, Seagate FW 800/8 and Pro Tools 6.2.2

Any help is appreciated

Hi,

Make sure you're downloading the update with Internet Explorer. The download also requires a high-speed connection. Make sure you're logged on as an administrator and that the update is on your system drive and not on a CD when you try launching it. Let us know if you continue to have problems.

Thanks,

Support,
Thanks for your quick reply. I've re-downloaded 6.4 to see if the earlier download was corrupted. All conditions are as you requested. I'll let you know if this copy works.
Thanks.

Default Re: Trouble with 6.4LE upgrade

Greetings,
My issue with the "no mountable file systems" error in the 6.4LE upgrade had to do with an error in the Roxio CD Burning software provided by Dell. Certain bits of information were eliminated in the burning process. I redownloaded and burned with Sony Extreme (since my iMac is not connected to the Net) and everything worked perfectly.

For upgraders - Be aware that 6.4LE resets many of your operating preferences, requires a DIGI auth code and automatically tosses your prior core audio engine. When opening prior PT projects it will ask if you want to change the db level to +12 or remain at +6. It also eliminates the system meter in your system usage window.

So far, Digi, everything is working well - Thanks!
