Strange DAE -1125 error with Waves L316 Multimaximizer

I'm experiencing a strange problem with a client's HD system.
He downloaded and installed he new Waves L316 Multimzximizer bundle RTAS version 5.9.7.1_ He's getting DAE 1125 errors as soon as he instantiates one in a session. Everything seems OK with the compatibility, as he's running PTHD 7.3.1 on Win XP SP2 (fresh install), and hardware is OK (several users here on the forum report excellent stability and performance with HD, including the other two identical systems I bulit for 2 LE rigs). CPU is Athlon 64X2 4400, 3Gb DDR Ram, Asus A8V Deluxe, Matrox P650 AGP video card, HD card PCI. Pro Tools runs OK according to what he's saying, as long as he doesn't load Waves plugs.

Any ideas?
