Pro Tools 10 download

Hi folks,
I have had to reformat my hard drive so am trying to download Pro tools 10 again. My MAC doesn't have a CD drive so I can't use those. When I try to install Pro Tools it tells me I need a newer version of OS. I have the latest OS so am wondering what the problem is. Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi, If you're trying to install Pro Tools 10 on Yosemite, it won't work - or at least it isn't supported. Not sure why it says you need a newer OS version as you would actually need an older version.

The reason the PT10 installer says a newer version of OSX is needed rather than needing an older version is due to computer numbering systems. The installer is seeing OSX 10.10.x as a lesser number than OSX 10.9.x
