Default An Icon Bug

Just so everyone knows:

The Auto Write To All soft key does not function the same as the Auto Write To All dedicated button. The soft key does not Write To All in stop (when Latch Prime in Stop is on), but the dedicated button does. It kind of makes the soft key button useless, and I know people use that soft key a lot by creating user pages with preview/capture/etc.

ie. Latch Prime in Stop is on. Make selection, change parameters, hit auto write to all dedicated button.... automation is written. However, make selection, change parameters, hit auto write to all soft key button.... nothing is written. Then hit play, hit auto write to all soft key button... parameters are written.

This has been confirmed as a bug by Digdesign. Good to watch out for.

Default Re: An Icon Bug

This is not a bug ... at the most a misinterpretation of terminology which, admittedly in this case may be confusing.

Those buttons on the global strip correspond in fact to 'Write to ...' actions and not to the 'autowrite to ...' modes you are referring about.

It works as expected when using the 'write to ...' buttons under the actions soft-keys.

The ones under the 'modes' section serve another purpose ... The take you into an automation mode. For example ... You would enable a certain mode ... then engage transport and upon stop this mode is written to whatever you intend it to write to.

Hope this helps. I can understand the confusion though ... to be honest when I read this first I thought about it but decided to wait until I had the chance to actually try it out before replying. If digi has confirmed this bug then they're wrong ...

Thanks Chris.

Not surprisingly for the Icon, that is a little silly.
