Default TDM-Dropouts when using SC

Some strange Problem i have using SC (PCI) with TDM (using the analog outs is ok):

1) Strange random dropouts
2) Strange pan-wanderings
3) a DC-offset of about 14 percent

Im using only the SC-outputs 1/2 routed to outputs 1/2 of my 888/24.
This goes via AES/EBU to the mixers (02R´s). Then i´m recording the AES/EBU-stereo master-mix on input 7/8 of the 888/24.

During loud or bassy notes on the SC the stereo-mix on input 7/8 wanders in the pan (very extremly) or gets distorted before it totally mutes for a couple of seconds.
I have a Picture of the waveform at
http://www.jochen********de/Bio%20%2...ntakt/ubs.html

This happens randomly at least every 30 seconds. The whole mix has a DC-offset of ca 14 %.
Nothing of it happens if i use the analog outs of the SC.

Please excuse the crosspost from the SC-forum, here it is much livlier.

All the best, Jochen

Jochen,

maybe you have a last name that can be interpreted as something sexual or otherwise offensive and the automatic Digi censor blocks it out. I know your last name and don't find it offensive in any way, so maybe Digi should look into the value system of their child protection software. S-c-h-m-i-d-t really doesn't look like sh** at all, does it?

sorry, I forgot to talk about your actual problem:

I'm using an ADAT bridge to connect the SampleCell outputs to my 02R via lightpipe: no problems at all, except for too much headroom (level too low when only playing one sample at a time through one output.

I have no idea what your problem could be. Any other ****up in your Logic environment or the ProTools mixer?

Couldn't resist to spell the word ****.

see you back on the LAM beta forum,

Reinhold
