Pro Tools M-Powered 8.02 on Mac OS X 10.6.4
Is there any plan to make the Pro Tools M-Powered Essentials compatible with the latest version of the Mac OS (10.6.4)? I would love to get a USB device I just purchased up and running with the software.
I basically get an "installation failed' error after it tries to install. Here is a link to the screenshot in case that matters: https://na2.salesforce.com/servlet/s...0P40000005Harn I appreciate the help. -Ben |

Re: Pro Tools M-Powered 8.02 on Mac OS X 10.6.4
You need the free update to Pro Tools M-Powered Essential 8.0.3 for Snow Leopard compatibility. Although it was not tested with 10.6.4 (which came out after Pro Tools 8.0.3), 8.0.3 is compatible with Snow Leopard, and 8.0.2 is not.

Re: Pro Tools M-Powered 8.02 on Mac OS X 10.6.4
How would he run the 8.03 updater if he can't install the software in the first place? I want to know because I want to do an all-new install on OS 10.6.5 but don't want to spend a dime until I know it's going to work.

Re: Pro Tools M-Powered 8.02 on Mac OS X 10.6.4
1. Download the Pro Tools 8.0.3 Updater.
2. Insert your original Pro Tools M-Powered Essential 8.0.2 disc into the DVD drive. 3. Launch the Pro Tools M-Powered Essential 8.0.3 Updater and follow the onscreen instructions. Installation Note: Some users may encounter an error dialog while running the Pro Tools M-Powered Essential 8.0.3 Mac Web Updater with a Pro Tools DVD on a clean Mac OS system. This dialog states that the "PACESuppport.kext was installed improperly and cannot be used." This dialog can be safely dismissed, and you should not encounter any problem after rebooting.
