Default Word clock vs. SPDIF clocking question ...

HI ... Just read about the new 003 ... looks like a lot of people are disappiointed .....

In any case , I've got a quick clocking question ... I currently have a 002 and use a Apogee Rosetta to clock the system I don't use the preamps in the 002 so the thing is basically a gigantic dongle, I read somewhere that using the SPIDF inputs to clock the 002 would not sound as good as using word clock .... so basically ... If I step up to the 003 and use my outboard pres and converter will I notice any difference ?

Thanks,

PD
