Default clock problem relating to pitch of tracks

I just recorded a couple of great tracks at a friends house on his LE system, and when I opened the sessions on my system everything was faster and higher pitched. I finally figured out why after calling him and asking him about his settings. Apparently he recorded the session in 24 bit 48khz, but it was clocking to his preamp which was at 44.1khz. So I'm figuring when I open the session all the tracks are really 44.1 but are being played back at 48. I have tried opening the audio files in Peak and they say they are 48khz, but I think that may be because the PT session they were tracked in was tagging them 48khz, but really all audio was coming in at 44.1

So is there any way I can get this to play back properly. I can't think of anything that has worked yet.

Thanks
Brian

look at the Joel Hamilton post. I was able to fix a similar mistake this way. It was a little hard for me to wrap my brain around it, but it works.
