Hey Steve,

This is probably the wrong thread for it, but since LFO Tool is the only plugin you have ported to AAX thus far, I thought I'd ask here.

I've been asking Digi/Avid for MIDI plugins for a while and whenever I directly post a question to one of the team, it always seems to get sidetracked. I'd love the ability to have chord plugins, arpeggiator plugins etc. in PT, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be on their radar.

Cthulhu seems to be the answer in a lot of ways. One thing I would love to be able to do though, is be able to re-record the chords as single notes. I know you can do this in Live as you can route the MIDI output to another MIDI track. AFAIK, this can't be done in PT. With this in mind, is there anyway to be able to achieve this with Cthulhu? If not via re-recording the MIDI, is there a way to capture what you have played and export it as a MIDI file?

Thanks.

Just bought this plugin with the intention of using it as a sidechain effect but was pleasantly surprised at how much you can do with it. Definitely a winner Steve! Looking forward to trying Nerve at some point

Hi Sardi,

Yes you can do this in Cthulhu! You can set the input of a track to record straight from Cthulhu in PT 10 or 11. (I probably answered this a little late, sorry for just noticing - you can always reach me via contact form on www.xferrecords.com and my latency there is usually between 5 minutes and 8 hours).

Thanks for the purchase and the nice words! I still need to make a video showing what LFOTool is capable of. Marketing is such an afterthought for me, I'm from the anti-sellout generation which makes it hard for me to push my product on people. Sale Word-of-mouth has been tremendous in VST+AU land, fortunately.

Cheers,
Steve

Hey, I hear you Steve. As a punk rocker "Marketing" is a bad word for me

But would love to see a video from you about this great plugin

While I've yet to get to making any promo/tutorial vids, I have updated LFOTool with improved sync for AAX. I updated the demo version as well!

Great news! I have had some sync issues with the past version where the plugin did not groove with the groove of my groove.

It's not in beta, but yes it is in the Forum (there are some posts in that thread mentioning beta because it used to be a thread for beta versions). We're rebuilding the website entirely right now, one new feature (of many nice ones) is the ability to have updated downloads in user accounts!

You'll find 1.2.9 atop the LFOTool forum. We're rebuilding the website in entirety right now to handle updates more gracefully. Apologies for any confusion.

Warm Regards,
Steve
