Default New Behringer Motor49 Midi Controller Keyboard issue

Hi all,

I have bought myself a Behringer Motor49 Midi Controller Keyboard with Motorized faders, but cannot get it to communicate at all with Pro Tools 11.

I found a useful video on Youtube by Paul Frields ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wymNluxc0VE )

Seems to offer great advice for connecting to Pro Tools, but have even tried everything he says, and Still cannot get it working. It just keeps saying

"Pro Tools is unable to communicate with M-Audio Keyboard. Power-Cycle M-Audio Keyboard and check its connections, note if M-Audio keyboard is not in use, update the peripherals dialog to prevent further warnings."

Please can someone out there offer me some advice to get this superb looking Keyboard talking to my Pro Tools setup.

Thanks in a advance to anyone that can help.

Best regards
Rob Engvikson

If you could give us your system info that would go a long way towards helping you. You know - take a look at the 'help us to help you' link that's at the top of every page here. Without that we're only wasting time and making guesses which doesn't help anyone.

What are you doing when you get the message you mention?
Are you on Windows and if so have you disabled all power saving measures including letting Windows shut down the USB ports?

H there Musicman,

Did you need a DXDIAG ( converted to PDF )?
or simply what I am using, see below

Windows 10
16Gb Ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 TI
Pro Tools 11
Soundcard is Tascam US 4x4

Let me know if any other info required, or if simpler to post DxDiag pdf.

In the video, Paul said to go into the settings and select Motor49 Keyboard port 1, But I did not get that option, as he suggested, I went to Setup/Peripherals/midi controllers/selected type M-Audio Keyboard, but then under RECEIVE FROM & SEND TO, I did not have the option he mentioned, all I can see is MIDIIN2(MOTOR49 Keyboard) [Emulated], or MOTOR49 Keyboard Emulated.

Once selected , I get the error message, I believe I tried both.

Actually the usual thing that get's asked for with regards to Windows is a Sandra report. There are free versions of that utility. But just the basic stuff you gave us above is sufficient in this case.

Your problem is you're running PT11 on a non-compatible Windows version. The last supported Windows is 8/8.1. See this page: http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...tibility-Chart
