Max level Iphone and Ipad can handle
Hi,
Does any of you guys know what the maximum level (full scale) is before the ipad and iphone speaker start distorting when played on the device? In other words, at what level should i mix my soundeffects at for apps? Thanks! |

Re: Max level Iphone and Ipad can handle
well all the music goes right up to 0, but your right it does sound distorted on the speaker, that is mostly to do with frequency content I believe, unfortunately if you band pass the SFX they will sound thin when using headphones.
In my experience playback of broadcast shows is too soft and difficult to hear with the volume on the iphone all the way up, unless you are in a very quiet area. I would peak at -6dbfs, average at -10dbfs and compress to death, oh and no big boomy low end SFX. |
