Output assignment bug

Traditionally in PT, if you alt click a track's output assignment, it will apply your selection to all visible tracks. When I do this in Pro Tools 8, it applies to all hidden tracks as well. I can't find a preference for this or make it stop assigning my output selection to all tracks. Any suggestions or is this a bug in PT 8?
