Default Bought some new goodies

Focusrite Voicemaster Pro w/SPDIF card
Neumann TLM 193 mic
sE Electronics SERF Reflexion Filter 3.5

paird with:

Mbox Pro
PT 7.3 LE

Focusrite connected to the Mbox via SPDIF allowing for 96Hz sampling rate.

What did I record? Well... add-ins to this track here http://thebuffalochips.com/practice/...0Draft%204.mp3

This weekend I'll be recording an entire session with just this... I'll post when I get a chance.

BTW... the Focusrite processor brings out the BEST sound in all my mics.. I highly recommend it for those who can't afford thousands in different effects processors and a good preamp.

It really is a great mic... I have to use little or no compression and EQ on my tracks as they are already perfectly laid down.

The Voicemaster pro has a TON of awesome features on it... the vintage harmonics feature replicates old 70's tapes. The optical compressor works like a charm... and the tube sound is just incredible, it adds so much warmth to the vocal tracks. The built in sound gate and compressor are pretty decent, and are great paird with the Neumann.

I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is serious about recording solid tracks.

Cool arrangement Mikex...vocals have nice definition, don't forget to give some love to the little drumbox pattern when you do the final mix, although this piece would be cool as an accapela version too.
