Default Auto-Tune Evo Latency Issue

I lay down a vocal track, and insert my Auto-Tune plug-in. Everything's dandy, however the processed vocal is now slightly dragging.

Any solutions?

Autotune Evo has alot of latency compared to the previous version (v5).

You have three options.

1) Upgrade to PT9 and use the automatic delay compensation function.
2) Manually nudge the audio to the left to compensate for the latency.
3) Insert the avid/digi delay plugin on all tracks except the autotuned track.

I did number 1 and would reccomend that.

I'll give you one more solution(that's free). bus the vocal to a new track and record it. Remove the AutoTune insert. Then using the original as a guide, nudge or drag the new audio into alignment. Hint, use Tab to Transient to find the exact time of the first word of the original, and move the new audio to the same time.

If you're going to be working w/ plugs that introduce delay, you should either, 1.) Upgrade to PT9 or 2.) look into Mellomuse ATA

It takes a while to figure out, but once you do, delay comp isn't an issue any more.
