Default Strike style, kit and mix saves all appearing under settings

Hi there,

When I save a style, kit or mix, I get taken to a file save dialog box which wants me to save a .tfx file in ...application support\digidesign\plugin settings\strike, the same place I get taken to if I want to save the overall settings.

If I do a save then it gets added to the users folder under settings instead of under stylor or kit or mix depending on what I've tried to save.

What's going wrong? Why can't I save just the style, mix or kit settings as should be happening since I'm clicking on "save style" etc.

Cheers,

Simon

I'm of the belief, Simon, this is a bug.

Stink.

Is there somewhere on the DUC that Digi keep a list of known bugs for their VI's?
I did a search before posting but didn't find anything related.

Digi support, if you're listening, can offer a status on the bug and any fixes?

We're trying to get a list of issues up on the AIR Blog and at the same time feed them back to the AIR team. Or you go to the blog just search under issue and you can see all posted so far. There's also a Facebook Group that is listing a wish list and we would all like to see these things fixed.

Thanks Russ,

When I search under issues the only Strike issues I see are the yellow colour one and the Roladn VDrums issue. Do you know if anyone else is getting the same issue as me? Are you getting it?

Cheers,

Simon

Jollo is right, you just need to make sure that these folders reside in the same place as the *.big Strike files and once you tell Strike where it is once it is good after that. I'll post a little video on the Blog to demo how to do it. http://airvirtualinstruments.blogspo...ving-user.html

Thanks Jollo and Russ, that's awesome. I'll give it a try shortly.

Perhaps this fix should be a sticky in this section of the DUC? Or there should a sticky called "Strike known issues/fixes" where they can list known issues, their manual workarounds where there is one and then resolved issues as well and what patch etc fixes them.
One each for all the AIR VIs would be the go I guess.
Something for Digi Tech Support to think about maybe?

Thanks guys, all sorted. Russ you're correct, you do need to create the 3 folders (Kits, Mixes, Styles) in the same folder as where your Strike .big files are. As soon as I did that and opened up PT again and went to save a kit, it pointed me to save into that folder.

I guess Digi need to edit the "set strike content location" application to create those folders at the same time and then it'll be sweet.

Thanks again,

Simon
