Default Using ReWire with M-Power ProTools

Hi I've been using more of ProTools now for about two month now ( due fact that have it on my Laptop ) with M-Audio 1814 I/O box. my question is ? What is the correct why of using ReWire ( for Audio ) not Midi with app's like Live 4.0 and Reason. You see I have some track that were made awhile back and now would like to get them into ProTools 6.8 so this is what I did to make it work

1) Started with new session created 1(ST) Aux track having inserted instrument in this case ( Live ) mixL&R then having a send insert to Bus 1-2

2) Then I created a 1 (ST) Audio track having inserted aging instrument (Live) and having Audio Input on Bus 1-2 then I am able to record

So I would just like to know if I am setting this up the correct way, I am more of a DP user but now that I have this M-Audio I/O
I am able to use DP/Protools/Reason etc. when I am on location, the funny thing is that in ProTools user guide and REF guide there is not one thing list about ReWire ( or maybe I just overlook it )

Well thanks in advance for any input on this question take care

Thanks Majestic, that's a good one to print out. There's also a video tutorial on setting up Live Digidesign Edition in the DiSKFlix section:
http://www.digidesign.com/disk/diskflix/

Linked from the Education links page in the DUC header.
