Default Is this normal

Hi fellow pro tools users ive had this issue for many years now and I'm just wondering if this is normal. When I bypass some plugins I get a click and some times when I press stop I get a click. I've made a video so people can see and hear what I mean. If this is normal then no worries but if not I'm Hoping someone can help me out. I'm on a Pro Tools 10 HD 7 accel system on windows using a magma chassis

by no means an expert on HD, but doesn't it have to do with running a native plug on your track?

either that or switching from a TDM to a native plug after it?

All plugs are TDM. The click is only there when sounding is present. I also get this if I'm for example playing guitar and then engage the R button on the channel a get a short click as it turns on. I've never used any other PT systems than mine so I'm just curious if this is normal

Has always done this, it has to do with the instant change of state in the digital domain as apposed to the analog domain were things had to ramp up when engaged and tape ramped up and down when started and stopped

I don't hear the click so much in the pulg-ins but I do notice the level changes
I do hear the little clicks when you stop playback but they don't bother me

Thanks for chiming in :) it's no show stopper but as I've never used any other PT rig other than mine I just wasn't sure if this was normal or not and as I have a little time on my side I was going to try and sort it, if it's something that could be sorted. Some plugins do it more than others for example the click when I bypass an EQ is worst than the click when bypassing CLA 1176

Here's another vid, anyone one on a HD system confirm this is normal

http://youtu.be/2VoTX7ynsO8

The clicking is as loud as the noise from the mouse clicks

With my LE system I started hearing that regularly when I switched to recording in 96K from 48. I had never heard it at 48. I too wish it wasn't there but I got used ot it after awhile.
