Default Last Questions about Atto....I hope

Hey Steve

Got my Atto card[used] and want to Upgrade the FirmWare, But when I run the Update it tells me "No PCI Express cards were Updated"?

I was also wondering How I can Find out the current FirmWare version? If it's at 1.1.1 I won't be worried.

The card is reconized by the Express ProTools app and by FWB 3.0.2! Only thing Express PTs says about the card is that it is a rev F

I was told by someone that I might have to Update the FirmWare on a PC then Reinstall it in my MAC???? Is the a Possibility.

Thanks Steve and I hope you New Year was brought in safe and Happy

Hi Dog,

If all of your drives are mounting without issue with FWB 3.0.2 drivers, then you're in good shape.

Launch ExpressPro-Tools and look at the SCSI card information. You can get this by double-clicking on the SCSI card in the Device window (left pane). It's the boldfaced line of type. Actually, if you look at the bus in the Device window, it will show you the firmware revision on the right margin. It'll look like this: 0111, or 0133, etc.

When you double-click on the bus, you'll get the Bus Information window. This will tell you which version of the card you've got. Let me know what it says. That'll tell us which firmware to use to update the card (unless it's already up-to-date).

New Year's Eve was quiet, but definitely a happy occasion. I hope the same for you.

Ah, it was an Apple OEM version from a Beige G3. That's why we don't support the OEM models -- too many "gotchas."

Anyway, I'm glad you got things up and running. Keep me posted.
