Can you import/export and bounce mp3? How is video playback?

Avid recommends NOT upgrading to W10 just yet until qualification with PT is 100% completed:

Here is another AKB reference for availability. Subscribe to the AKB article above and/or the Tech Alerts forum for an availability alert.

It's good to see Avid getting in front of this. Communication is appreciated.

Worked perfectly on Windows 10 until today. iLok license manager says it's "not installed correctly" suddenly. Tried reinstalling, same thing happens.

Been hearing a few reports about ILM, Windows and PT12.

Seems an update is needed.

Probably caused by one of 60 odd updates to Windows there's been in the last couple of weeks.

I have not seen this problem on my Win 10 install. I DID have that problem on the Win 10 Tech Preview, but not the RTM (full version)

Keep in mind, anytime we use software that Avid has not qualified we are taking a risk.

The only thing I have noticed so far is it seems that PT now scales larger than it did in Win8 with the same scaling settings. Still messing around with video card settings to see why.

What, of Avid approving something not made by HP? ;-)

Based on what I heard at Microsoft's summer NAMM presentation, I jumped in on the second to last build which got replaced by the RTM a couple days later. The windows 8.1 image I upgraded had been updated with the current versions of Pace and QuickTime Pro. Both seem to be functioning perfectly here.

Since I have no active recording right now, I took the plunge into Windows 10. So far, so good. I'm quite impressed with the new Windows. I'm running regular PT 11.3.0 on a homebuild PC.

I didn't do any uninstalls/reinstalls- just went for the upgrade. The only crash I got was when I switched to a remote desktop via my laptop, while an antivirus software was updating. So I should have expected that.

One thing I did notice is that my system usage seemed to increase a bit. Basically, an HW buffer of 512 under Win10 seemed like 256 under Win 8.1. However, this could be more due to a recent configuration changes for which I didn't pay attention to the performance change.

I'm also still seeing spikes of my total CPU usage, especially on 512 or lower H/W buffers. Although they haven't resulted in any errors yet.

What are other folks seeing?
