Can't assign MIDI track to Boom - PT 2023.9 / Ventura
Hi all,
I'm beginning the slow, painful process of setting up a new M2 Studio Ultra. Initial steps, and already annoying weirdness. I like to use a modified Boom kik drum as my main click. I setup an Aux track with an instance of Boom, and I created a MIDI track and tried to "point it" to Boom. But it won't let me. There are no MIDI channels associated with the Boom Aux. Just the name Boom by itself, and it won't let me select it. What the heck? Am I doing something dumb? This was always a no brainer on my good 'ole HDX cheesegrater rig, 2021.6. I tried Boom on an Audio track as well. It works as an Instrument track, but only from within that track. I don't like using Instrument tracks. Xpand2 works fine, pointing MIDI tracks to it. Thanks!!
