Have you tried going into the ILok manager and refreshing your subscription? I was prompted to reinitialize my license too.. weird, but it went smoothly.

Also make sure you have the latest iLok Manger software. Syncing also seems to help during these transitions.

Yes, if I'm seeing this correctly, you have to surrender your previous license. Correct? Which is a bit dicey. Surrender a license for, say 12.4, which is working perfectly here. Then rolling back from 12.6 if it DOESN'T work is out of the question? Umm, no thanks. Or will the 12.6 license also authorize previous versions?

The whole DUC is filled with posts about this so how did you miss this
If all the above ideas fall short the only thing to do right now is to start a support case from your Avid account as that is what would be done anyway and Avid will deposit a temp license if you are on a plan for PT12. Best of Luck and you are not alone with this problem.

If you're a user of AppMan and it's telling you there's an update available, but NOT telling you about the iLok changes, then that's unacceptable.

The answer we have got is start a support case from your Avid account so Avid can deposit a temp while they sort this new debacle out (it's a Smirk)

here is my experience.
I was on 12.5.1. I don't use the AppMan. I went directly to my AVID account and downloaded the win installer. Install went fine. It did update the ilok drivers. Before I loaded PT, for giggles, I ran the iLok manager and sync'd all of my subscriptions. When I ran PT for the first time after the upgrade I was prompted with the ilok screen. I re-initialized my licence with the ilok and all seems fine. I'm not sure if I did it right or not but I have no issues with ilok or licensing tho... (for now) The only isssue I've run into so far is the .mp3 bounce issue.. |
