I guess I just don't understand why someone would spend 2 minutes on a DUC thread about a feature they want, then scoff at the idea of doing the exact same thing on Ideascale.

I wrote that this suggestion was already registered for several years. I did not say: I do not think the suggestions and Avid never listened. I wrote that Avid in its development, forgetting the basic functions (though suggested). As with a car that can fly or go on the water but has no radio or wiper. The example of the markers is. There in others, as suggested (to my memory): no statistics on a clip (loudness, RMS, etc). One again? No shortcut keys to move vertically a clip. It's basic, but nonexistent. All this was once suggested another properly.

As I said, some will make it some will not depending on what Avid thinks is a best fit for the software and their priorities, and also obviously how popular the idea is. Obviously they can't conceivably work all the new request, bug fixes, new features that weren't requested, New version of the software, new drivers, new applications for the ipad, new etc etc etc without prioritizing what they will include and what they won't in how it will bring in the most costumer satisfaction and ultimately revenues.

Now on the other hand as I have already mentioned, they are pushing for the user to use Ideascale for bug reporting and also new features requests as it is a lot more easier to keep track of things over there. So at this point it's up to us to either go with it or snuff it up because of the past and boggle down the process even more.

If you look at it, it has nothing to do with your actual request for marker changes. It's to set ADR markers, foley markers, music markers, dialog markers which he could reorder, rename (which can already be done), renumber (which can already be done) and custom collor. Nothing to do with moving them in batch.

You're right overall. For markers, however, the subject is in the most popular (5th place in the category Pro tools) and is requested from lomgtemps. For my other examples, I was wrong, it is not listed. I will do it.
