Default Sending Inserts To AUX's

I was just wondering how you would go about sending an insert plugin to an Aux channel. I am using a reverb and want to be able to solo the wet signal on it's own in an AUX track so i can do some further tweeking. Any advice on how to go about this would be much appreciated.

The only way I know of is to put the reverb on an Aux and have your send pre-fader. This way, anything that's pre-fader and going to that reverb will be soloed when you solo that Aux.

Right. This is one of the reasons there are pre-fader sends. The old "dry signal fades out while the reverb stays" thing. Or for reverb only tracks too.

Another good application is building alternate mixes for monitors, or headphones, or anytime you want to route the audio, processed by the channel plug ins, but not following the fader.

If you submix your vocal tracks by routing them to a vocal aux, and the sends feeding the reverb are on the actual vocal tracks, you can simply mute the vocal aux to listen to the wet signal only. This will of course not work if the reverb aux also is routed to the vocal aux.

but if you are outputting to the aux the insert will also be going to the aux so by muting the aux that track won't output anything at all

One vocal aux, and one reverb aux. They are completely separate.

Tried making the aux effect returns "solo safe" so you can solo tracks with effects in place?
