Default Sleeping problems with my G4

Hey y'all. I am having some problems with my G4, 256MB Ram, OS 9.04, PTLE/digi001.

Since recently, my computer "goes to sleep", even after selecting "never sleep." I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I use extension manager and got 2 sets of ext's, one for PTLE and one for what I like to call Internet (everything else).

Everytime the computer falls asleep (whenever I am NOT working) and I have to wake it up, it "thuds" my speakers, and the connection between PTLE and 001 is gone, and I have to restart. It's a hassle.

First of all, make sure you haven't disabled the Energy Saver control panel in either extension set. It always needs to be active.

Then, go into your preferences folder and trash your Energy Saver Preferences. Restart your computer, open the Energy Saver Control Panel, and then re-set the sleep mode to Never. Also, be sure to click "Show Details" to make sure you haven't separately set either the HD or screen to sleep.

Lee, thanks for your help! I remember having disabled the Energy Saver extension previously. When I checked just now, it was enabled, however, so I am not sure how that happened. But sure enough, Energt Saver was reset to 30 minutes. Maybe I trashed the Preferences previously...

Thanks again!
