Pro tools 12 not loading?

Hi everyone

I first got pro tools 12 with the 11 rack and have been using it fine for the past few months I had a few issues where my laptop would sleep causing the interface to no longer be recognized causing the session to crash.

the whole system has been a bit fickle particularly when i want to change sample rate and bit depth and buffering only letting me do so when i am not using the 11rack.

Now i can not load pro tools it take s forever to get to the session open dialog box and the just freezes,
i don't know what to do now ive tried lookinig for the didgi design prefs and dae prefs to delete thay dont seem to be any where on the system i also tried uninstalling/reinstalling to no avail.

if any one can help me out that would be great

Im using a Toshiba notebook with 8gb of ram at 2.20Ghz with the 11 rack connected via usb on windows 7

Your best bet would be to read through the Help Us Help You thread first. There is good information in there about how to optimize your system, common troubleshooting and how to post info about your system.

Give it a try and let us know if you are still having issues.

In addition to the regular optimizations in the link above, like disabling USB power management and never letting your laptop sleep or hibernate, make sure the 11 Rack is only for Pro Tools and set the onboard soundcard as the default for Windows sounds/audio.

yeah I figured out my problem, just needed a clean install and the pro tools preferences showed up in the app data to which i then deleted

works fine now
