Default Pro Tools and Firefox, I got a question

I have Pro Tools 7.3 running on my Mac Pro 10.4 with Tiger OS and MBox2and I read somewhere back when I purchased everything that an upgrade in my browser could make my Pro Tools go batty. Well, Firefox is hitting me daily with wanting to update my browser because it's outdated. Well, I'm a little reluctant to do that before I'm sure that it won't mess with my Pro Tools, TRacks24, etc...

So my question is this, If I accept an update on Mozilla Firefox browser, will that affect my Pro Tools set up in anyway?

Thanks in advance for any information. much appreciated.

can anybody help me out with this issue???!!!. Firefox is about to shut down on me and I have a literal crapload of favorites and links, including this site, that I don't wanna lose.

I can't find the article anywhere. I thought It talked about if I update from 10.4.9 tiger to the next level I may lose all my work in Pro Tools!!

Firefox is saying that my 10.4.9 Tiger is not the right OS to update the browser.

ANY HELP ON THIS WILL BE APPRECIATED, THANKS!!

I thought I responded to this, maybe it got caught up up in the database corruption problem.
The only browser problem problem I know of is IE on Windows
I have never had or heard of a OSX browser problem

ok thanks for the info.

but what about my OS 10.4.9 Tiger issue not being compatible with the new version of Firefox??

Firefox won't let me update stating that my OS is outdated.

Can you turn the Auto Update off in Firefox and ignore until you update your whole setup

Ok, I turned off the "auto update" but I still get this when I go to certain websites...

**You're using an older version of Mozilla Firefox that we'll soon stop supporting. Please update your browser to the latest version.

ANY IDEAS?? I need some HELP!...lol

Which way would be best as not to lose any of my sessions in PT7.3??

will PT7.3 run on anything higher than 10.4.9 Tiger?

i got it!!!!

I'm just going to buy another cheap hard drive with an updated operating system off craigslist and just dump my firefox to that hard drive/OS and then update it!...then just add it to my secure network. that way I don' t have to risky a bug-filled update on PT because my 7.3 has been thankfully rock solid since I installed in my Mac Pro 8 years ago.
