Re: I want to buy a MIDI keyboard controller
Point taken. I am also allergic to Roland, but their piano keys are more than decent. And much cheaper than Nord.

Re: I want to buy a MIDI keyboard controller
Roland - love the sound of their synths but the weighted key action - not so much. Agreed on the price though.

Re: I want to buy a MIDI keyboard controller
I fancy the Korg SV-1, SV-2. For the keys, for the looks (high-WAF), for the sounds. I want one. A stage piano, midi capable. No pads, no joystick...
Tried Arturia in the store. Keys "bouncing" back, no-no for me. Maybe Santa ho-ho's for me... /T |

Re: I want to buy a MIDI keyboard controller
The Arturia keyboards have a reputation of not lasting long. What is 'high-WAF' ?

Re: I want to buy a MIDI keyboard controller
According to this dude (at 1:59) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbNw_NF3iSk the Kurzweil KM88 & M-Audio Hammer 88 have the same touch/action. These 2 controllers are in my price range.

Re: I want to buy a MIDI keyboard controller
I got the Arturia Essential 88 and couldn’t be happier. The quality and price is really good and I love the fact that The keyboard is big enough that I don’t have to remap or hit the octave button every time I’m doing key switches.

Re: I want to buy a MIDI keyboard controller
I'm seriously considering getting the M-Audio Hammer 88 Pro. The key action isn't quite as important to me because I'm not a piano player anyways. I've been using my Yahama Motif XS8 as my controller since it first came out some 12 years back and its still quite good...BUT, it weighs 60+ lbs, and things don't map so easily to the VI interfaces. I'd still use it as a synth, though...it has great sounds and I've designed many of my own patches for it over the years.

Re: I want to buy a MIDI keyboard controller
You should likely consider an offering from Native Instruments.
https://www.native-instruments.com/e...ete/keyboards/ NKS via Komplete Kontrol is probably unique with what it can do across nearly all the major software manufacturers. Stephen
