Thumbs down Revert Back To Firmware 1.02. Possible?

1.03 has been causing me too many problems. Can I go back to 1.02?

sure. I dont see why not. I've never done it, but I don't know of any reason you cant load 1.0.2 to the 11R over 1.0.3. I've heard of a few people re-installing 1.0.3 over 2.0 with no problems.

Make sure you back up all your rigs to your computer first.

I would not do so unless you are 100% certain that it really is 1.0.3 causing the problems.

And anytime you install a firmware update you technically have a tiny chance of bricking the unit. So be aware of the risks.

even better would be to buy the ERXP (Firmware 2.0.x) and update to that.

I just want to know why my headphone out on the 11R is distorted when Pro Tools is not running when the 11R is being used as the Mac's audio output device.

Have you checked the cables?
I've had this happen before (Not with 11R), things were working perfectly, did a software update for something and somehow damaged a cable. honestly I blamed the software update.

Do a cable check and see if that's it.

Also, +1 for buying the ERXP!

What happens if you try lowering the levels to the 11R outputs via the Mac's sound control panel?

The output volume control on the Mac is greyed-out, as it should be, since I'm using the 11R as the Mac's audio output device.

Cable (1 USB, 1 guitar patch cable, brand new headphones) are all fine. It's not a bad cable distortion. Its a digital distortion...not the clipping kind either. More of a low sample-rate distortion.

Thats not really what i meant. I was just saying if you are going to go to another Firmware then you should consider the ERXP. I can't say if it will fix your problem or not. Have you tried going back to 1.0.2 yet?
