Changing Sample Rates
I have an 882 and and 888|24 on a MixPlus system(one Mix Core, one vintage DSP). I couldn?t get the 882 to respond to PT.
While trying to get this problem solved, I had a 48k session open. I went to the hardware setup, deleted the 882 interface, leaving me with just the 888|24. While there, I decided to just mess around a bit and see what trouble I could get into. I changed the 888|24 to an ADAT bridge(which I don?t own) just to see what would happen. No big deal, but the sample rate of the session changed from 48K to 44k. Hmmmmm. When I switched back to my 888|24, the sample rate still shows up as 44, not 48. In previous versions of PT, in the session setup window, you could manually change the sample rate of the session (for whatever reason you may have had). But in PT6, that doesn?t seem possible. Now I have a 48K session that will only open as a 44k session(and of course play back sl o w l y). In this case, I was able to use one of the back up files to get back to 48K, but this may be something you may want to be aware of. (And I did get the 882 to finally work) |
