Default Freebie - TBProAudio ISOL8

I would have paid real money for this one... But it's free!

Quote:
Product description

Isol8 is an advanced mix monitoring tool. It divides the frequency range into 5 bands.

These 5 bands can be soloed or muted individually. This will help you to concentrate on certain frequency ranges during the mixing and mastering process.

Isol8 is originally designed to be used on the master track, but it can also be used on individual audio track busses.

It is useful and simple to use. I use LF SOLO (default 200hz) to check for low end problems, it's a good alternative for those who don't have sub.

I just learned, anything following the "minor than" sign in a post will be automatically deleted <

TB make some pretty awesome plugins.. not all of them, but most..

i use gain rider and AB/LM// Ab LM is basically a souped up version of perception from meterplugs, but at a third of the price.. There's nothing perception can do that it can't. Highly recommended for being able to hear your plugin chain without volume gain.

A word of caution. Instantiating ISOL8 seems to add about a dB and a half of gain. Not sure what's going on there exactly yet. Hitting the Filter Bypass button brings everything back down to equal gain. Anyone else seeing this?

It works fine here but you can use the output level control

Oh it works great all-right, but I shouldn't really have to bring down the output level when it's doing 'nothing' right..?

That must be something specific in your system because it's working fine here. AAX 64 on Windows

Strange, I suppose it's possible there are coding differences between Win and Mac versions?

I'll do a little test later tonight. Hang on...
