Default New computer build

I´m planning to build a new computer for win 10 pro and PT 12 HD.
So will this work?
Intel Core i7 7820X
Socket 2066 motherboard. Maybe ASUS PRIME X299-A with thunderbolt option card.
SSD, 32gb 2666 mhz memory... and so on.
Soundcard will be UA apollo twin mk2 duo thunderbolt.
Or is it safer to not use Thunderbolt and go for the UA apollo twin USB duo?

Thunderbolt would be my preference, but you are trail blazing with brand new stuff. Not sure if anyone knows about compatibility yet with these new motherboards

This is why I bought X99 chipsets.....and I just did my build 4 weeks ago-ish.

I even think the i7800's are cheaper than the i7-6800's but I wanted compatibility/stability over the latest.

the i7000 series are even more powerful on paper iirc. Not too many people know about this build (ie. X299)

Search the DUC b/c there was one guy who was gonna try it.

I know on the Universal Audio forums there was 1 guy who ran it successfully, but I think he was using CUBASE as his DAW>

Thx for the reply YYR123!
If its possible can you reply with a spec of your build.
Asus x99 deluxe II seems like a good choice for med because the thunderbolt expansion card is included. And the 6850k also seems like a good choice between performance and price.
