Default Phase invert and -10/20db pad?

Does or doesn't the new C24 (which I own) have phase invert and -10/20db pad on the input stages? If it has I must be really stupid cause I can't find it, I'm recording drums and almost every channel is clipping at 0db gain. The reference guide mentions this BUT only regarding the "Digidesign PRE" unit in interaction with C24:

Quote:
In Expanded Mic Pre view, the following controls are shown in the LCD displays:
• Gain: controlled by the encoder
• Source: chosen with the encoder
• Impedance: chosen with the encoder (for Mic/Line source only)
• Pad: toggled with the encoder switch
• Polarity: toggled with the encoder switch
• Phantom Power: toggled with the encoder switch
• High-Pass Filter: toggled with the encoder switch
• Insert: toggled with the encoder switch
Do I really have to go out and buy 10 xlr pad adapters and phase inverter adapters?

Yes. That information is only for controlling the Digi PRE via the C|24. If you want pads and phase inverters on each channel, then yes, XLR pad adapters are in order:

With this type of gain structure, the C24 absolutely should have included at least a pad switch, if not a phase invert switch as well. At the VERY least, they should have included 16 of the M-Audio in-line pad/phase inverters mentioned above, which list at $25 each.
