Default What is taking so long?

Mac OS 10.4.7 and related iTunes and Quicktime updates have been available for some weeks now. What is taking so long getting these qualified for use with Pro Tools? By the time these get approved, Apple will have come out with new updates. I am curious why Digidesign is so far behind on this....or are they?
